Amazon Prime Day 2018 will start on July 16, according to a new leak

TechRadar

  • A new leak from TechRadar claims that the annual Amazon Prime Day sales event will start on July 16.
  • The huge Amazon sale for Prime members may last for 36 hours this year.
  • Amazon Prime Day offers big discounts across the board and includes deals on Amazon’s own products.

Amazon Prime Day usually happens sometime in July, and now we may have learned when exactly the fourth annual Amazon sales event might happen. TechRadar reports that a leaked ad banner found on Amazon’s U.K. site indicates that Prime Day will happen on July 16. It will supposedly last as long as 36 hours this year, making it an Amazon Prime Day-And-A-Half.

Keep in mind that this date has not been officially confirmed by Amazon. However, the timing of the leaked date does make sense, as July 15 marks the end of the 2018 World Cup soccer tournament. It stands to reason that Amazon does not want to launch its biggest non-Christmas sales event during the World Cup.

Keep in mind that if you want to buy the many, many discounted items during Amazon Prime Day, you will need to become a Prime member. It currently costs $12.99 a month or $199 a year and offers a ton of benefits, including free two-day delivery on millions of items, access to Amazon Prime Video movies and TV shows and more. We will update this post when Amazon does confirm the dates for Prime Day 2018.
